Benji was found running stray in Cleveland Ohio on a very main
street
Benji just missed being hit by two cars when our Director happened to be driving
by
Benji nearly lost his life and if it wasn't for our Director stopping traffic
Benji would have indeed
been hit by a car the morning of June 8th 2010
Benji was wearing no collar or dog tags and is not microchipped.
We reported Benji as found and Benji is currently on a 3 day
stray hold
Benji was very fearful and was showing aggression at the time he was saved
from traffic
Once Benji arrived at CODA Dog Rescue he started immediately settling down
Once Benji had some time to calm down it became very evident that Benji is
a very sweet
and lovable little guy.
Benji is about a year old
Benji was moved to one of our best small dog foster homes where he is settling
in
and having a good time being spoiled and playing with the female Maltese mix
that lives at his foster home.
We will post update on Benji soon so check back!
UPDATE 6.14.2010
Benji's stray hold is up and he is available for adoption
Benji has been 100 percent perfect on his housebreaking at his foster home
Benji is a good little watch dog and will bark when someone is at the door
Benji gets along fine with the 3 other dogs in his foster home both small
and large
Benji was fine with the cats here at our main foster facility before moving
to his foster home
UPDATE 6.24.2010
Benji is neutered and received his DHPP and Rabies vaccinations today.
He was also heartworm tested today
Benji appears to be in perfect health and our Veterinarian thinks Benji is
about a year old
Benji weighed in at 14 lbs today at his vet visit.
Benji is now cleared for adoption

Home with previous experienced raising a canine from a young puppy into their
senior years is required
Excellent Veterinary References will be required to adopt Benji
An " In home Visit" is required to adopt any of our adoptable animals
Benji would love being a part of a family who has another young, active, small
breed dog as a companion and playmate
Benji is fine with cats
