Davey is a Pure Bred Dalmation
Davey was rescued from the Ohio County Animal Shelter in Kentucky
Davey was listed on the shelter website as deaf and in need of a special home
We do not believe Davey is deaf. Davey appears to be able to hear just fine

Davey was very happy to get out of the kill shelter in KY
Only 197 dogs made it out of this shelter alive all of last year
So the odd's were definately against Davey especially since he was diagnosed and listed as deaf.
Davey was so happy to get out of the shelter he agreed to share his ride from KY to his new
MI foster home with another dog in need of a ride to her rescue at Great Dane Rescue in MI

The little deaf dane girl Sassy is more visible in this photo after she woke up from her nap:)

Sassy was found nearly starved to death tied to a tree in KY.
Her previous owners are being prosecuted for abuse
Davey has a list of people he would like to thank for helping to save his life and get him safely to rescue

Davey's transporters drove through a slushy snow storm and high winds to get him to the safety of his new foster home
Davey sends you all lots of wet dal smooches:)
Davey was able to thank most of you in person while you were driving him to safety on 4/2/05
Davey is safely in our Eastpointe Michigan foster home
Davey is neutered, and up to date on his vaccinations
Davey will be heartworm tested and fecal tested monday 4/4/05
We will have updates on Davey once we get to know him better
Davey's foster mom will be sending more photo's of Davey shortly

Davey is feeling much better and eating well and enjoying playing with his foster brother Snowman

Davey has been adopted by a wonderful family in Solon Ohio.
Davey shares his new home with a deaf 2 yr old Dalmation girl named Kizmet who graduated top of her obedience class:)
He also has a new Sister Gidget ( 9 yrs old) and a 13 yr old blind diabetic fursister too.
Davey drove in from Michigan on May 2nd to join his new family in Ohio
Davey would like to thank everyone who helped give him a second chance at life and love especially his new family:)
